• There are many ways to medicate or consume Medical Cannabis. The following are some examples:

Smoking – The most immediate way to introduce the psychoactive properties of Cannabis, THC, into the blood stream, which will then be delivered to the brain. Cannabis can be smoked in papers, glass/water pipes, vaporizers, etc.

Tea – Cannabis can be made into a tea by putting it into boiling water and letting it steep.

Tincture – Cannabis can be placed in a jar with Vodka and allowed to stand for approximately a week.  Strain the solution prior to medicating.

Eating – Cannabis can be eaten, usually in cookies and brownies, although you can also find “enhanced” throat lozenges, sodas, candies, etc. The effects may take longer to be noticed when eaten, and the doses are not as easy to measure as when smoking due to this reason. Therefore make sure you are able to relax after medicating using edible Cannabis products.

Marinol – A synthetic form of one of the ingredients found in Cannabis. It is not meant for smoking and has a higher potential for overdose.

Compress – Follow the same steps for making tea. Soak the compress entirely in the tea and apply to painful area for 30 minutes.
